My Body, Your Body, Any Body

Today, my dad and I went to Detroit to see Our Body: The Universe Within. It was pretty fascinating. I will admit, when I first got in there, I was a little grossed out. But eventually I was able to look past the obvious grossness and think about the fact that I was seeing what I, essentially, look like on the inside. I think that eventually classrooms will have tools like these. It gives you a newfound appreciation for what your body can do. It looks delicate and tough all at the same time. I urge everyone, if they get the chance, to check this out.

After the exhibit, my dad took me to a Coney Island for chili dogs. Not just any Coney Island, mind you, but the one my parents went to when they were young and still in love. It was right across the street from the hotel they worked at when they both met. The hotel isn't there anymore, but the Coney Island remains. It was a pretty good chili dog too. And some good fries.

Tomorrow, I am off the shop a little. Have to exchange some Christmas gifts, have to get some Christmas gifts. I also have to find a birthday gift for my nephew. I've already found my dad a birthday gift. Christmas ends...so should the present buying. But for me it doesn't end until February.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's.
