19 Year Old Harvard Student, and Possibly A 28 Year Old Nobdy Plagariaze Author

I think that I am honestly the most easily distracted person ever. And it sucks to be distracted at work (perhaps, it doesn't suck so much as it is a hindrance). For example, I was just reading a story on cnn.com (distraction #1) about the 19 year-old Harvard student who plagiarized not only Megan McCafferty, but now people are discovering she plagiarized Sophia Kinsella and Meg Cabot (by the way, what is up with that? I mean, "chick lit" is actually a pretty small community. If you have read McCafferty, odds are you've read Kinsella and Cabot. And if you are reading 19 year-old Harvard student's book, you may notice similarities. It's interesting to see a girl smart enough to get into Harvard behave so stupidly. But I guess we all know that book smarts doesn't equal street smarts and obviously this girl is not from the streets.) So anyhoo, it said in the article that McCafferty had a blog and I thought to myself, "well, I like to read blogs." So I searched for it and found it and probably could've spent forever reading it, but after a few minutes, I turned away. And actually the few minutes is showing great restraint for me.

McCafferty's blog is interesting; I may try to remember to go back to it. She interchanges current entries, with ones from her real girlhood diaries. Actually, maybe I won't go back, because I barely care what I thought as a 10-14 year old girl. I definitely don't care what this woman thought. But she refers to the plagiarizing incident, as "You Know." Semi-example sentence:

Listen to this interview with blahdedy blah, I taped it before. You Know.

Haha, did I just kind of plagiarize from her? I didn't use quotes. I said it was a semi-example because it wasn't word for word. Oh well, if I am, then damn, McCafferty is having the worst week ever!

If I wasn't in the profession I'm in, and I was 19 and at Harvard, I'd plagiarize for half a mil.
