Pimp My LIcense Plate

This morning on my way to work, I was at a stop light and all I could smell was the fumes coming from the cars. And then all of a sudden I was surrounded by cars letting off fumes and I started to feel claustrophobic. It was really strange. It was as if the light could not turn green fast enough. You would think after four months of cold weather, I would be used to the smell of cars working overtime to stay warm. Maybe I am so used to it, I am sick of it. It is supposed to be cold through Monday and then warm up. Hopefully this warming trend will stay around and only get better. Hopefully, spring is here.

So while I was being slowly poisoned by car fumes this morning, I was also sitting behind a car with a personalized license plate. It read, “SPAZZY.” I personally don’t get personalized license plate. I think they are pretentious, in a kind of cheap way, which I know is odd, because they are probably expensive compared to regular license plates. That seems like the strangest place to spend extra money. And although, “SPAZZY” is a “STUPID” way to describe yourself, at least I knew what it said. Some license plates get crazy with using short symbols and numbers for letters and I know it is a personalized license plate, but I can’t figure out what it is supposed to say. I sit behind these cars and rack my brains out as to what these people are trying to exclaim to the world about themselves and in the end, I figure, they just wasted a ton of money.

Do you guys ever listen to “Car Talk” on NPR? It’s a very funny and educational listening treat. They should give me a segment, don’t you think?

Yeah, they could talk about how the car works and I could talk about how the car should look.
