I didn't really prepare as well as I should have for class today. It went ok; my students actually contributed to the conversation, but I felt it...I felt underprepared and like I let my students down.
I'm not a bad teacher though, right? Just had an off day...learn from my mistakes...
Or am I just trying to justify how much I suck?

The fact that you CARE suggests that you do NOT suck! We all have off days, sometimes whole off semesters. Let it roll of your back and just super prepare for your next class to pick your confidence back up. Call if you want some support! Miss you!
No one is prepared for their job or their life all the time. One unprepared day doesn't mean bad teacher. Being unprepared every day makes a bad teacher.
