Stuffed Mushroom Stuffing and I'm Stuffed

My whole family gets together on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas day. My brothers and their kids come and we eat appetizers. This is our tradition. We've been doing it for years, for as long as I can remember. I never really thought about it as our tradition, our family is anything but traditional, but it is something we all count on every year. Thankfully though, this year we are forgoing the meatballs.

A couple of other things we have started doing in the past couple of years is having a holiday drink. Last year it was the Mexican Martini. This year it is the White Russian (apparently our new tradition must be foreign). We have also been having breakfast, this way we can spend all day sitting in our sloth.

One year my mother started taking down the tree on Christmas day. She thinks the tree looks sad without any presents and this might be true, but to take it apart on the day of Christmas.

Anyhoo, I don't know if anyone out there is reading this, but if you are, tell me about your family's Christmas traditions.

we have xmas bfast at 830 and eat slow so the boys have to wait for present opening. Then the boys get to be the elves and pass out gifts...everyone is there, so it's about 15 people and five dogs and it's a mad house...
